About me

I am an active Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Maryland. My firm’s focus is providing accounting services to government, small businesses and individuals. I was raised in Northern Virginia and earned my Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. I also completed a Master of Business Administration from American University.

Prior to spending 20 years in the federal government, I held several accounting positions with a focus in general ledger analysis.  The positions held included Staff Accountant, General Ledger Accountant, Senior Accountant and Team Lead. I have worked in various industries—construction, real estate and in public accounting as an auditor for non-profit organizations. While in the federal government, I specialized in budget formulation, budget execution and expense analysis.

I have a TS/SCI full scope polygraph clearance. I am a certified tax preparer as required by the State of Maryland.  I have  active memberships with Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

I am an avid cyclist and I love traveling the world riding my bike.  I am a lifetime financial member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  I am an active member of Kingdom Fellowship AME Church where I actively participate in young adult, women and music ministry.
